How much do your views earn?
TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram. Enter a number of views and see right away what the platform would really pay you in 2026.
In 2026, TikTok pays about €0.75 per 1,000 qualified views for a US audience, so roughly €300 per million views. YouTube Shorts pays about €0.27 per 1,000 views (€270 per million). Instagram does not pay per view. Rates collected in September 2026 from creators and official pages.
How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?
Not much, and it moves a lot. Over the summer of 2026, many creators saw their payouts drop sharply, then partly recover in September.
| Audience | Low | Typical | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| US, UK | €0.15 | €0.75 | €3.00 |
| France | €0.04 | €0.12 | €0.40 |
Per 1,000 qualified views. A view only counts if it lasts more than 5 seconds, comes from an eligible country and isn't paid for. One view per person. For established creators that is often 30 to 50% of views. On a brand-new account it can drop to 3%.
The rate goes up with "additional rewards": TikTok pays more for videos that are watched longer, well made and useful. An older audience also pays more, because advertisers value it more.
How many views do you need to make money on TikTok?
First you need to join the Creator Rewards Program: 18+, 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days, with a personal account, in one of 8 countries (US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Brazil). Then only videos longer than 1 minute earn money.
That is the catch. Half of the viral videos I analysed last 37 seconds or less. On TikTok, they would not earn a cent, even with millions of views.
How much does YouTube Shorts pay?
YouTube gives creators 45% of Shorts ad revenue, split by views. For a US audience that is about €0.27 per 1,000 views (between €0.15 and €0.60). For a French audience, closer to €0.09.
Heads-up: from February 1, 2027, YouTube will only pay Shorts revenue to channels with at least 10 million Shorts views over 90 days. Most small channels will drop to zero.
How much does Instagram pay per view?
Nothing for most creators. Instagram has no open program that pays for views. Its bonuses are invite-only, with no public rates. On Instagram, the money comes from brand deals, subscriptions and gifts.
How much do 1 million views make?
| Platform | US audience | French audience |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok (video over 1 min, 40% qualified views) | €300 | €48 |
| YouTube Shorts | €270 | €90 |
| Instagram Reels | €0 | €0 |
These amounts change a lot from month to month. Some creators saw their payouts cut by 10 in a few weeks without changing anything.
Where is the real money?
In brand deals. A single deal pays more than millions of views paid by the platforms. Here are typical prices paid by big brands in France in the first half of 2026 (1 post + 1 story):
| Account size | Typical price |
|---|---|
| 10,000 to 50,000 followers | €3,000 |
| 50,000 to 500,000 followers | €4,500 |
| 500,000 to 1 million | €8,000 |
| Over 1 million | €13,000 |
These prices come from an agency working with big brands: a small creator negotiating alone often gets less. To land these deals, you need steady views in your niche. And an audience that reacts: calculate your engagement rate. That is exactly what Prooven helps you build.
Where do these numbers come from?
From TikTok's and YouTube's official pages, studies published in 2026, and dozens of creators who shared their real payouts (September 2026). All amounts are in euros, at the October 2, 2026 rate. When sources disagree, I keep the cautious range.
